Welcome to the Moose Cafe in Lake of Bays
Breakfast and Lunch .. Delicious
The Moose Café in Dwight, Lake of Bays, Muskoka is a wonderful breakfast & lunch cafe. Located midway between Huntsville and Algonquin Park this is a successful family-owned and operated 3,000 square foot licensed restaurant/café and gift shop on Hwy 60 (Tom Thomson Parkway), on the doorstep of Algonquin Park.
Sunday Morning Breakfast
I love going to the Moose on a Sunday morning for breakfast. I find a spot by one of the two fireplaces and order the delicious Moose Breakfast. Wes, the chef, really outdoes himself with this fantastic breakfast delight along with many others. Great homecooked food and steaming hot “help yourself coffee bar” with a selection of premium coffees add to the lovely Muskoka ambiance. The Moose is always bustling and busy year-round with local residents that come from Huntsville, Dorset, Baysville, Dwight and area as it is a favourite spot to stop for breakfast and lunch. In summer, it is busy with Lake of Bays cottagers & Algonquin Park visitors, and in winter, this is a favourite spot for snowmobilers as the café is right on the trail.
Friendly Service
Although the Moose is always busy, as you enter, you are greeted by Hi There, Welcome… and a big smile from Cathy and Marty, the owners. On the walls hang original paintings and photographs done by local area artists. The Moose Café is licensed with 50 indoor seats and an outdoor patio that is always packed in the summer and offers another 30 plus seats outdoors. The café has an adjoining gift shop that carries an expansive selection of unique, high-quality gifts and souvenir items.
Gift Shop
Looking for a quality gift? The Moose Cafe boutique gift shop offers a wonderful selection of unique products sourced from small design companies and local artists. Be sure and browse this delightful gift area. There is something for everyone.
