Marsh’s Falls, Oxtongue River Trip
Marsh’s Falls on the Oxtongue River is a wonderful spot to visit. The Oxtongue River stretches approximately 35km from Lake of Bays to Algonquin Park, and is the largest source of water for Lake of Bays. Lower Oxtongue, which runs between Marsh Falls at Hwy 35 and Lake of Bays, is recognized for its ecological importance in the Township of Lake of Bays. Comprised of Riparian habitat and mature forest, this section is believed to be one of the riches in terms of species diversity in the Lake of Bays Township. Visitors and residents can enjoy the beauty of the Oxtongue River as they hike on one of the trails, by boat, or through this video featuring our resident tour guide, Maggie.
