North Muskoka Market Update January 2023
As we delve into the Muskoka real estate market in January 2023, it becomes apparent that both off-water residential properties and waterfront properties are exhibiting a decline in sales with an increase in the number of listings available. This trend continues from the last quarter of 2022. While it is premature to make predictions at this point, we anticipate that with warmer weather in early spring, we will see the typical increase in the number of waterfront listings. In contrast to the frenzied demand of the past couple of years, we believe that buyers can now take a more relaxed approach to their search as the market gradually stabilizes. We don’t expect to see the previous soaring demand anytime soon, paving the way for a calm and considered property search. Overall, I am optimistic that 2023 will bring a gradual recovery as the market finds its footing.
