Thanksgiving in Lake of Bays
Thanksgiving at Lake of Bays
It is hard to believe, but fall is here. Autumn is a lovely time to take in the spectacular sights and sounds of Muskoka, all while creating warm and colourful memories with your family. Take a minute and let those warm feelings of fall envelop you.
Spectacular Fall Colours
There is no better place to see autumn colours than in the heart of cottage country. Muskoka/Lake of Bays boasts so many variations of maple, birch, elm and oak trees, and as they change colour, they transform the Muskoka landscape into a spectacular rainbow of colours, from golden yellows, beautiful sunset oranges and fiery reds. Fall is a wonderful time to tour the area or simply relax on your dock and enjoy the beauty that surrounds you. Pristine lakes, granite outcroppings and trees ablaze with colour. No wonder that Tom Thomson and the Group of Seven chose Lake of Bays/Algonquin to paint their nature scenes.
Autumn Events
Muskoka sets the stage for a flawless fall getaway weekend to go hiking, take some fun selfies with the kids, stop in at the Moose restaurant for their famous Great Canadian Moose Breakfast, head down the street to the Trading Post where you can take a great photo with their landmark big black bear, and of course no visit to Lake of Bays is complete without stopping at Henriettas Pine Bakery for those gooey and soooo delicious sticky buns. Then on to Algonquin Park to complete your perfect weekend.
Thanksgiving is the perfect time to come together to enjoy family and friends in this most beautiful cottage area.
