Waterfront Market Update – October 2021

Waterfront and non-waterfront property sales in Huntsville/Lake of Bays, Muskoka saw levels more in line with a typical October. Although we did see a levelling of activity, inventory levels are again heading down after increasing in the past summer months. This trend of stabilization is seen across markets in all areas. We are however still seeing high buyer demand and a scarcity of listings. The Home Price Index, a more accurate way to track price trends than averages and median measurements, recorded the Lakelands Real Estate Board’s single-family benchmark at $629,400 which is 28% higher than the Home Price Index benchmark of October  2020.
